• Head, Centre of Corpus Linguistics :
  Scheme on Linguistic Data Consortium for Indian Languages (LDC-IL):Developed Corpus for 22 scheduled languages, Part-of-Speech and Chunking annotation, conducted and supervised more than 100 training programmes/workshops on Natural Language Processing with Universities and Institutions in different parts of the country.

• Principal in-charge : Southern Regional Language Centre, Mysore

• Officer in-charge of Grant in Aid Scheme: Cleared more than 1000 proposals covering 42 languages under various schemes of GIA.

• Officer in-charge of Scheme for Preservation and Protection for Endangered Languages (SPPEL): Coordinated with 29 Universities and 70 Principal Investigators, conducted various training programmes on documentation.

• Officer in-charge of Education Technology: Supervised the production of 250 visual episodes under Basha Mandakini on Language, Literature and Culture. Developed online courses for Urdu, Manipuri and Telugu.

• The book entitled ‘Tamil Ilakkiyangal : kaTTavilppum, kaTTamaippum’ (Tamil Literature : tructural and Deconstruction Approach) was selected as a best book on Literary Criticism for the year 2005 by the Government of Tamilnadu and awarded First Prize.

• The book entitled ‘Mozhiyum adhigaramum’ (Language and Power) was selected as a best book on Language Development for the year 2005 by the Tamilnadu Progressive Writers Association and awarded First Prize.

      1. As the Head of Bhasha Mandakini Project, I have co-ordinated the production of visual episodes on Kannada, Tamil and Bangla and initiated the production in Telugu. Totally 100 episodes were previewed and cleared on all the languages.

      2. Tamil 60 episodes Supervised under Bhasha Mandakini Visual Episodes on different topics related to Language, Culture, Personality etc.

      3. Corrected the Tamil dubbed version of 60 Visual episodes

• Linguistic Data Consortium for Indian Languages

      1. Organized the Workshop on Corpus cleaning in various Indian Languages

      2. Guided the conducting of Fieldwork for Text/Speech corpus in various Indian Languages

      3. Organized the Workshop on awareness Programmes on Natural Language Processing on different Indian languages and different Region

      4. Organized and Conducted more then 8 Invited Talks/Lecture Programmes, 20 Meetings

• Organized a Conference on Multimedia Endangered Language Teaching in collaboration with RMKV Engineering College, Chennai. The proceeding of the Conference was edited and published as E-book in the online journal viz. Languages in India.

• One of the organizers of New Linguistic Survey of India- Summer Camp held at CIIL from 21-5-2008 to 30-06-2008 under the aegis of NLSI. Eight workshops on Dravidian and Arial Linguistics were organized for 460 participants from all over India.

• Co-ordinated the Course on Sociolinguistics and Participated in the North Eastern Winter School of Linguistics during February 2008 at Shillong.

• Organized the workshop to identify the titles for making Visual documentaries by inviting 15 scholars from Tamilnadu during September. 2008.

• Organized a workshop on preparation of profile for the Endangered Languages in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka at Kuppam from 22 to 29 September 2008.

• Organized a workshop on Endangered Languages in Tamilnadu and Kerala at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, January 2009.
