  • Worked as Language Specialist in the project of Tamil Thesaurus on contract based i.e. form 25th Oct 2008 to 4th Nov 2008 with BUTLER HILL GROUP, LLC, (U. S. based) a Virginia limited liability company (“Contractor”) MICROSOFT CORPORATION, a Washington corporation (Microsoft).  

  • Worked as an Annotator on Contract based for 3 months i.e. from 24th January 2008 to 9th May 2008 with BUTLER HILL GROUP, LLC, (U. S. based) a Virginia limited liability company (“Contractor”) MICROSOFT CORPORATION, a Washington corporation (Microsoft).       

  • Worked as Linguist under “Development of Indian Language Machine Translation System (IL-IL) (Tamil-Telugu, Telugu-Tamil)” from 6th Jan 2007 – 31st March 2008 sponsored by Department of Information Technology, Minister of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India.

  • Worked as Project Fellow for two years from 1st Oct 2004 to 31st Dec 2006 under the project of “UGC/SAP” at CALTS, University of Hyderabad.

  • Worked as an independent contractor for nine months (from 3rd Feb 2005 to 31st Oct 31 2005) with Zi Corporation of Canada, Inc., a body corporate, incorporated under the laws of Alberta, having its office in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (“the Company”).

  • M. Phil. Dissertation on “A Statistical Study of Certain Aspects of Written Tamil Corpus” for the degree of Master of Philosophy in Applied Linguistics at Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies, University of Hyderabad.

  • Developed a Morphological Generator of Tamil Nouns” (using PERL) at Language Technology Laboratory (Centre for ALTS), University of Hyderabad during M.A. Programme.

  • Presented a paper on The Statistical analysis of Tamil Corpus in the 26th Annual International Conference on South Asian Language Analysis (SALA-26) jointly organized by Kannada University, Hampi and Central Institute of Indian Language, Mysore during 19th to 21st December 2007.

  • Presented a paper entitled A Contrastive Analysis of Punjabi-Tamil Morphology in the UGC National Conference on Globalization and Current Trends in Linguistic Studies organized by the Department of Linguistics at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore during 24th to 25th January 2007.

  • Presented a paper on Spell Checker and Thesaurus for Word processor for Tamil in MS Office System in National seminar on e-Potentials of Tamil Language in Telecommunication organized by the department of Linguistics, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore during 31st Oct to 1st Nov 2008 in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu State Council of Higher Education, Chennai.

  • Presented a paper on Frequency Distribution of Derivational Morphemes in Tamil in the Linguistic Society of India’s 31st All-India Conference of Linguists (AICL2009) at the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies (CALTS), University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad.

  • Published a paper on Corpus and its role in NLP in the International Seminar on ‘Tradition and Novelty in Literature’ conducted by the Tamil Research Scholars’ Association, School of Tamil Studies, at Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai on 6th Jan 2011, in Vol. 3 pp 1682-1686.

  • Published a paper entitled The Construction “I Love You”: Comparative Accounts in Tamil and English in Aug 2011 issue of Language in India online journal.

  • Paper (in print) to publish on Determining Categorical Status by Functional Categories: Evidence from Manipuri and Tamil by LDC-IL, CIIL Mysore.
